Xin Lü

Dr. Xin Lü received his doctoral degree in 2004 from the Jiangnan University. He had completed postdoctoral research at the Kyoto University. Dr. Lü is currently a Professor and Dean at the College of Food Science and Engineering, Northwest A&F China. Dr. Lü is the regional development talent of "High-level Talents Special Support Program" of Shaanxi Province, and the science and technology innovation leader of young and middle aged people of Xianyang City. Dr. Lü’s research focuses on molecular biology and fermentation engineering. Particularly, it adopts theories and technologies of molecular biology and fermentation engineering to solve fundamental and application problems in industry. Professor Lü presides over the scientific research project (as the chief expert) for Chinese public welfare industry (agricultural) , the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Natural Science Foundation of Shaanxi Province, the Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Project of Shaanxi Province, the Scientific Research Start-up Fund for Returned Overseas Chinese Scholars of the Chinese Ministry of Education, and significant projects of Chinese Tobacco Industry Co., Ltd. in Shaanxi and so on. Professor Lü has published more than 120 papers and applied for 8 national invention patents (7 authorized, 3 industrialized). Professor Lü also serves as evaluation expert of national talent project, National Natural Science Foundation, Chinese Agricultural Society, important member of Chinese Society of Microbiology, etc. He is also the young editorial board member of the journal "Food Science", and editorial board member of "eFOOD".
