Dale Godfrey

Prof. Dale Godfery received his PhD in 1990 at Monash University, and he completed his postdoc at Roche in New Jeresy and DNAX Research Institute in Palo Alto. He is now Immunology Theme Leader at the Doherty Institute. As a postdoc, he defined the DN1-DN4 pathway of early T cell development and coined the term ‘b-selection’. Prof. Godfrey is leading his team with a research focused on the understand the biology and immunotherapeutic potential of unconventional T cells including NKT cells, MAIT cells, CD1a, CD1b and CD1c-restricted T cells and gd T cells.
