What are the most promising (potential) applications of the CRISPR technology?

CRISPR-Cas9 is a procedure whose most promising potentials we cannot explain enough, as this technique has boundless capabilities. This technique has just reformed various branches of science like medicine, agriculture, etc. This technique works by making the changes in biological organisms in such a way that they can improvise potential to fight against deadly diseases like Cancer, Alzhimer's, HIV. CRISPR-Cas9 has incredible potential for the higher success of in vitro fertilization as well by enhancing the pregnancy rate in this modern era where low fertilization has already became a biggest challenge for the medical science.

Not only in medicine but this technique has explored its capacity in the agriculture and plant metabolic engineering fields as well. Similar to the humans CRISPR-Cas9 can be used for plant DNA editing also. In this way this technique can be use to increase the fighting capacity of plants from various pests or insects and also we can enhance the production of significant compounds/chemicals which can be healthier to humans. I am a plant scientists and in this direction I found this technique as a very unique approach for the health improvement of humans by consumption of herbals and organic crops.

I can understand that people get scared by genetic editing approach due to its ethical concerns however, being a scientist/biologist this is our responsibility to make everyone aware about the positive impact that this approach can bring in. CRISPR-Cas9 is a genome editing technique in which scientists do changes in the biological organisms artificially but, if these modifications done in a correct path and direction then there is a no wrong doing for this method. In my opinion every human being on this planet has a moral responsibility to use this high end technology in a right direction for a great and improve life.
