BOC Sciences Launches 2026 Chemistry Scholarship Program to Empower the Next Generation of Scientists

Applicants must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (a "B" average) and be majoring in a chemistry-related field. Eligible majors include Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, Materials Science, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and chemistry-based Environmental or Biomedical Engineering.

Application Process

To apply, candidates must submit an official application form along with a current academic transcript and a letter of recommendation from a teacher, school counselor, or community leader. Additionally, applicants must demonstrate their critical thinking and communication skills by submitting an original 800-to-1,000-word written essay (or a 10-to-12-page PowerPoint presentation with detailed lecture notes) on one of three highly relevant scientific topics:

l Oligonucleotide-Based Therapeutics: An overview of definitions, mechanisms, practical applications, and current industry challenges.

l Overview of Vaccine Development: An exploration of vaccine classifications, characteristics, hurdles, and future prospects.

l Overview of Drug Delivery Systems: A comparative analysis detailing principles, mechanisms of action, and historical contexts.

The BOC Sciences Selection Committee will evaluate all complete applications based on academic merit, the quality of the submitted research/study plan, leadership abilities, and active participation in school and community activities.

The scholarship recipient will be announced on November 15, 2026, with funds sent directly to the winner's university for disbursement.
