I was thinking about philosophy exams the other day, and honestly, they hit differently. It’s not just memorizing stuff. It’s trying to understand arguments, question them, and then explain your own thinking under time pressure.
Sometimes people even joke about “pay someone to take my philosophy exam,” and it says a lot about how stressed students feel. Not because they’re lazy, but because philosophy can get confusing fast.
You read one idea, then another philosopher completely disagrees, and now you’re stuck in the middle trying to make sense of both.
I think what helps a bit is slowing down. Talking ideas out. Even explaining them to a friend in simple words.
