What is Synthetic biology?

SYNTHETIC BIOLOGY - An interdisciplinary area which combines biological science and engineering.

In broad terms, it aims to create, redesign or fabricate biological components and systems that are not (Generally) present in Nature.


Example: Escherichia coli Nissle 1917 engineered/re-designed to fight cholera
