The Zhou lab is focused on developing affordable T cell therapies with high efficacy for solid tumors.

They established the personalized TCR-T cell therapy using patient-specific TCRs targeting neoantigens, which could be used for majority of patients. The phase I clinical trail has shown 45% ORR.

The team also developed TCR-T cells resistant to exhaustion and the suppression of tumor micro-envrionment by targeting multiple critical signaling pathways identified through genome-wide genetic screen.
