We're traveling with a toddler and lots of baggage by plane to visit family in Mississauga, Ontario. Since it’s a long flight, and our little one will likely be fussy after landing, I’d like to minimize the hassle of carrying strollers and suitcases around as soon as we arrive. I'd prefer to use luggage storage, or have someone Meet & Greet us and assist with the customs. Because I've found out that the lines of people at immigration can be very long and that there's a lot of passenger traffic. I did a bit of research on Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) just recently and saw that it is a big hub of a sort that receives tens of millions of passengers every year. Guys, has anyone used an escort service for children or checked luggage in a terminal storage locker? Or could you please give me detailed info on the time needed to complete these operations? So that we won't have to stand in queues at security check-ups.
Traveling with little ones is a whole other challenge—I get it. At Pearson, there are luggage storage lockers in both terminals—look for signs that say “Luggage Storage”; they’re usually near the arrivals area. As for Meet & Greet—it’s a great service; they really do take you by the hand and skip the lines—but you have to book it well in advance through their website; you won’t be able to do it once you’re there. By the way, if your family is picking you up by car, tell them about the Cell Phone Waiting Area—it’s free parking where they can wait for your call so they don’t have to pay for the expensive parking lots near the terminals. And which airline are you flying with?
