The RRB Technician Sarkari Result process is not over after the CBT result. The candidates who get shortlisted after passing the written Exam have to undergo Document Verification and Railway Medical Test before appointment. For the CEN 02/2025 Technician recruitment, the list of the candidates shortlisted for DV and Medical Examination for Technician Grades I (Signal) and Grade III posts were released separately by RRBs during May 2026.
As per the updated recruitment instructions, it becomes very clear that selection is conditional till the verification of eligibility, documents, medical fitness, and other qualifying conditions. It is important for the candidates to know the DV documents and medical norms.
Document Verification is carried out for those candidates who pass the respective examination and are conditionally selected. RRB matches the information provided in the online application form through the respective original documents. In case of any mismatch or failing the eligibility criteria, candidature may be rejected.
It is essential for candidates to carefully look at the DV e-call letter regarding the reporting date, venue and other details of document upload etc. In the CEN 02/2025 Recruitment drive, RRB has given guidelines for document uploads prior to DV.
The candidate should have the following documents ready with him/her, both in the original as well as required self-attested copies as per the following list:
Matriculation/10th Certificate
Required Educational/Technical Qualification Certificates
Relevant Marksheets
SC/ST Community Certificate, if applicable
OBC-NCL Certificate, if applicable
EWS Certificate, if applicable
PwBD Certificate, if applicable
Ex-Serviceman Certificate/Documents, if applicable
NOC from Present Employer, if applicable
Name Change/Gazette Certificate, if applicable
Valid Photo ID
Recent Passport-Size Colour Photograph
Other Documents Supporting Age Relaxation or Special Claims, if applicable
This list of documents may change depending upon the category of the candidate as well as his/her claims. So, the candidate is advised to refer to DV e-call letter and notice of the concerned RRB.
During DV, RRB cross-checks the data from the application with the original documents. The candidature can be rejected in case of huge difference in name, date of birth, qualification, category or eligibility. The candidates are required to make sure all certificates are legible, in effect and match their information on the application. The publication of false information or suppression of facts may also result in cancellation of candidature and debarment as per applicable RRB rules.
The candidates selected for DV through CEN 02/2025 should clear the medical fitness test done by the Railway Administration as well. The particular medical fitness that is required is based on the Technician post. The medical fitness categories are A-3, B-1, B-2 and C-1.
In the case of A-3 Medical Fitness standard, candidates need to be fit based on the prescribed distance and near-vision standards along with the colour vision test, binocular vision test, night vision test and mesopic vision test. Those candidates who have undergone LASIK or any other refractive error correction surgery are not eligible for A-3 Medical Fitness.
The required medical standard according to RRB Technician CEN 02/2025 varies according to the job category. The prescribed categories include A-3, B-1, B-2, and C-1. The A-3 category has a more stringent vision standard and involves testing for colour vision, binocular vision, night vision, and mesopic vision. Similarly, category B-1 has eye test for colour vision, binocular vision, night vision and mesopic vision, while category B-2 and C-1 have comparatively different vision requirements.
The eyesight requirement for RRB Technician CEN 02/2025 is contingent on the medical category allotted for the job. The eyesight criteria for medical grades A-3 and B-1 include colour vision, binocular vision, night vision, and mesopic vision tests. Medical grade B-2 demands only binocular vision test, whereas medical grade C-1 prescribes only the distance vision and near-vision criteria, which does not have additional vision tests like A-3 and B-1.
No candidate who has LASIK or any other refractive error corrective surgery is eligible for A-3 jobs. The final fitness is decided by the Railway medical authority.
In the context of RRB Technician CEN 02/2025, the candidate who fails in being medically fit for a higher preference post can be considered for a lower preference post in the same pay level provided they fulfill the medical criterion of that post on the basis of merit, eligibility, and vacancy. However, in case no post is available for allocation due to medical fitness, then the candidate will be provided one chance to submit a medical appeal against the decision of the authority with a prescribed fee.
It is also mentioned in the notification that the candidates found medically unfit for the chosen post(s) do not have any automatic right for being considered for any other post/appointment in the same pay level.
It is advised to candidates that they must properly verify their DV e- call letter and collect all certificates in original form before the date of verification. It is also advised to have necessary copies of the photograph, documents, and identification proof as told by the concerned RRB. The candidate must verify the details such as name, date of birth, educational qualification, etc., entered in the application form and certificates.
Securing the CBT and making the Railway RRB Technician Sarkari Result is not a guarantee of final selection for the post in itself. The candidate needs to undergo DV, pass the medical test, and fulfill all other criteria of eligibility. Then, the appointment process is taken forward by the relevant Railway authority.
There is an important final step of Railway RRB Technician Sarkari Result after CBT. Those candidates who get shortlisted for DV need to bring all the original certificates and make sure that there is a match between application data and certificates. Being medically fit is equally important because the medical requirement for the Technician position varies from other positions. Candidates must check the final result based on RRB notification and DV e-call letter only.
