Preparing for Salesforce PDII – What Helped Me

I am currently preparing for the Salesforce Platform Developer II (PDII) exam, and I have realised that it is a totally different exam from PD I. One needs to know about advanced apex, asynchronous programming, patterns of integration, testing approaches, and when it is better to use certain design approaches.

There is one thing that helped me while studying – I was solving lots of practice questions and only then checking their explanations. I have studied first the official Trailhead modules and then started doing practice questions based on CertsTopic question answers to check what I lack in my knowledge. It helped me get a better understanding of the reasons why the answer was right instead of just memorising it. I always check my answers in the Salesforce documentation, but the combination of official resources with practice questions increased my studying efficiency greatly.
