Practising Spoken English Without a Conversation Partner

Finding someone to practise English with regularly can be surprisingly difficult, especially if your schedule changes from day to day. I’ve had periods when I wanted to improve my speaking but simply didn’t have anyone available for a conversation. Instead of waiting for the perfect language partner, I started experimenting with exercises I could do by myself. One simple method is to read something aloud and record it, then listen back to identify pronunciation issues. I also like watching short English videos and explaining the content afterwards in my own words. These exercises make you actually produce English instead of only reading or listening, although feedback is still useful when you are unsure whether something sounds natural. Fluently offers voice conversations with corrections afterwards, and I also came across their guide with additional ideas for practising English speaking alone.
