Does anyone else remember when CCAR-F was updated recently? I almost signed up to take the exam last month, but then realized there had been a change in the exam objectives. I thought I would pass on what I found out in case it helps anyone else avoid the same confusion.
As far as I understand, CCAR-F is the exam code for the newest version of the Claude Certified Architect - Foundations certification. While it is not exactly a new certification, the recent update means that quite a bit of study material shared on forums and Discord servers may already be outdated. That is worth keeping in mind if you are planning to start preparing soon.
From a structure point of view, the test still seems manageable: 60 questions in 120 minutes, which gives you roughly two minutes per question. That might sound reasonable, but it can feel quite different once you start practicing with a time limit. Some questions are straightforward, while others are scenario-based and require you to read the situation carefully and choose the most suitable architectural approach. Spending too much time on one question can make timing a real issue.

In terms of content, the exam focuses heavily on agentic architectures and orchestration. There are questions related to designing systems with agents that can plan tasks, perform actions, and adapt based on the results. There is also considerable attention on MCP and tool integration, along with Claude Code workflows, prompt engineering basics, structured output, context management, and reliability topics such as error handling and fallback strategies.
What helped me most was working through practice problems without trying to memorize the answers. Whenever I got something wrong, I went back and looked at the underlying concept and tried to understand why a particular architectural approach made sense. For me, understanding the reasoning was much more useful than simply completing a large number of questions.
I also came across different CCAR-F Exam Dumps and practice materials while preparing. However, I would be careful about relying on any material simply because it is labeled as an exam dump. Outdated or inaccurate questions can create more confusion, especially when the exam objectives have recently changed. Practice material is much more useful when it helps you understand the concepts behind the questions.
Overall, if you are working toward the CCAR-F Certification, I would recommend checking the current exam objectives before starting your preparation. The update can make older study material less useful, and spending weeks preparing from outdated topics is definitely something I would want to avoid.
