My iPhone Controls My TV Better Than the Original Remote… Anyone Else?

I started using this Remote App for iPhone to Control TV when my remote broke, and I honestly never went back. It connects over Wi-Fi, so I don’t have to point it at the screen, and I can even control my soundbar and Apple TV from the same place. The app layout feels smoother than most of those cheap universal remotes you buy at the store.

That’s funny — I’ve noticed lately how everything’s merging into one device. My phone already handles lights, thermostat, and even the coffee machine timer. It’s kind of wild that something we used mostly for calls and texts now runs the entire house. Makes you wonder if in a few years, we’ll even need separate remotes or switches for anything anymore.

Okay, so this might sound weird, but my iPhone has basically replaced my TV remote at this point. I downloaded this free app a few weeks ago because my original remote kept disappearing under the couch (or maybe the cat hides it, who knows). Now my phone connects instantly, adjusts volume faster, and even lets me switch inputs without that annoying lag. Has anyone else tried controlling their TV with their phone and found it better than the actual remote?
