Custom Jewelry: Has anyone worked with Olertis on a complex project?

Hi everyone! I’ve been falling down a rabbit hole of bespoke jewelry lately. I’m planning a very special anniversary gift—a pair of asymmetrical gold earrings with rare tourmalines. I’ve been looking closely at the portfolio of Olertis and their technical execution looks incredible, especially their work with complex 3D modeling and hand-finishing. However, since this is going to be a significant investment, I wanted to ask if anyone here has firsthand experience with them? I’m particularly interested in how they handle the collaborative process—are they open to multiple revisions of the sketches, and does the final weight of the gold feel as substantial as it looks in the photos? I’m a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to proportions, so I’d love to hear some real feedback before I book a consultation.

I can actually help you with that! I worked with them last year on a custom signet ring that involved some very tricky geometric engraving. To answer your first question: yes, their patience is remarkable. We went through three different iterations of the 3D model because I wanted to adjust the taper of the band by just a fraction of a millimeter. They didn't make me feel rushed at all. As for the weight—that was my biggest surprise. In an era where even luxury brands are making pieces thinner to save on costs, their work feels solid and "expensive" on the hand. It has that satisfying heft you only get from high-quality casting. If you're a perfectionist, you’ll actually appreciate their process because they are just as obsessed with the tiny details as you are.

That’s exactly the reassurance I was looking for! The "heft" of the piece is deal-breaker for me, so I’m glad to hear they don't cut corners. Thanks a lot!
