I've recently seen many AI tools that can predict gene structure, design plasmids, and even optimize protein expression in just a few minutes. I'm curious if AI can actually replace some of the work of molecular biologists?
Specifically:
- How accurate can AI be in predicting gene structure and activity?
- Does using AI in vector design reduce the need for real-world testing?
- And most importantly: How can we combine AI and human experience without sacrificing the careful science of research?
I'd love to hear from anyone who has used AI for biological projects — especially in gene, protein, or plasmid design.
Thanks, everyone!
