Alaska Airlines First Class: Know Before You Book

What Kind of Travel

Alaska Airlines offers three types of travel:

Flying Blue is Air France-KLM's frequent flyer program. You can earn miles based on how far you fly, how much you pay, and what type of service you choose. Air Europa, Garuda Indonesia, Kenya Airways, Aircalin, and TAMROM are also part of the Flying Blue scheme. People who are traveling can become members for free. There are two kinds of miles on Flying Blue: Award Miles and Level Miles. Award Miles expire after 20 months of not flying and can be exchanged for other rewards. Level Miles, on the other hand, are good until December 31 of each year and are used to determine a member's level. Award miles can be exchanged for free tickets, a better class of service, more luggage space, and entry to a lounge. Members can also use KLM 


AirCares gives miles to charity or shops in the Flying Blue Store. Members of SkyTeam and Flying Blue can earn Award Miles. These airlines are Alaska Airlines, Air Corsica, Airlinair, Bangkok Airways, Chalair Aviation, Comair, Copa Airlines, Gol Transportes Aéreos, Japan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, TAAG Angola, Twin Jet, and Ukraine International Airlines.


For domestic flights, people can check in anywhere from 24 hours to one hour before the flight.

International Flights: People can check in 24 hours a day, five hours before their flight.


Services on board

Alaska Airlines offers snacks, meals, and drinks to its customers. These can be gotten through Northern Bites, the airline's "buy on board meal program," or they can be reserved ahead of time online during the ticket process. In economy classes, you can get the special "Picnic Packs." In first-class rooms, you can get free meals or light snacks. Alaska Airlines was the first to offer portable, hard-disk-based music and video-on-demand players called digEplayers. Passengers could rent these players while they were on board. Alaska Airlines has now replaced the digEplayer with in-flight entertainment tablets. Passengers can also connect to Wi-Fi while they're in the air.

Cancellation and refund

People with special needs can get help from Alaska Airlines. On-site staff provide wheelchairs and help with check-in at the airport. People can pick the service that works best for them.
