Today, we have an interview with an extraordinary creative mind. Denisa Klotska, formerly Kadlecova, is a solo traveler, graphic designer, numerologist, and astrologer, and the founder of Chi-nese.com, a spiritual blog that has grown into a widely read resource on angel numbers, numerology, symbolism, and astrology.
What many readers may not know is that Chi-nese.com did not begin as a spiritual platform at all. Denisa founded the site in late 2013 as a design project. Over time, through solo travel and profound inner shifts, it evolved into a space where symbolism, numbers, and timing are explored with depth and clarity. In this interview, Denisa shares how that transformation happened and how her personal journey continues to shape the site today.
Q: Denisa, how do you feel today?
Denisa: I feel fine, actually. A little tired, but stable. The only thing I really struggle with right now is winter in the Czech Republic. I like living here, but the endless gray days are hard for me. I am counting the weeks until spring. Once there is light and warmth again, my energy changes completely.
Q: How would you describe yourself to someone discovering your work for the first time?
Denisa: I would say I am a solo traveler first, because travel shaped me the most and 40 countries is already a big number. Then a graphic designer, because that is where everything started. And today, also a numerologist and astrologer. Those roles are connected, even if it does not look that way on the surface. Design taught me structure. Travel taught me awareness. Numbers and astrology taught me timing.
Q: Chi-nese.com has a long history. How did it all begin?
Denisa: In late 2013, I created Chi-nese.com purely as a design experiment. I wanted a space where I could play with visuals, layouts, and typography. At that time, I was not interested in spirituality as a topic. The site was about aesthetics and expression.
Things shifted when I started traveling alone more intensely. When you are on your own in foreign places, you observe yourself differently. I began noticing repeating numbers, strange timing, and patterns that did not feel random. At first, I approached them intellectually. Only later did I realize that something deeper was happening.
Q: Was there a clear moment of spiritual awakening?
Denisa: Not a dramatic one. No single night, no instant revelation. It was gradual. Travel stripped away distractions. I had time to sit with questions instead of escaping them. Numbers kept appearing in ways that felt consistent, not symbolic fluff. That is when Chi-nese.com slowly changed direction, without me forcing it.
Q: Many people are curious about the name Chi-nese.com. What does it mean to you?
Denisa: It comes from “chi” as energy, not from China. I was interested in feng shui and the idea of energy flowing through systems. Numbers, symbols, time, design, even language. The name reflects that. I know it confuses people sometimes, but I like that it makes them pause.
Q: Angel numbers became one of the most popular sections of the site. Why do you think that happened?
Denisa: Because most explanations online are shallow. People experience repeating numbers in very real, sometimes unsettling ways. They do not want slogans. They want understanding. I write about angel numbers as patterns tied to timing, psychology, and decision-making, not as lucky charms. That honesty connected with readers.
Q: You are also very involved in the visual side of the site. Why is that important to you?
Denisa: Because presentation affects trust. If a site looks careless, the content feels careless too. Spiritual topics deserve structure. I still care deeply about fonts, spacing, and readability. Design is part of the message.
Q: Astrology later became another major pillar of Chi-nese.com. How did that happen?
Denisa: Out of frustration, honestly. I read too many astrology articles that said nothing concrete. I studied Vedic astrology first, then Western astrology, and I realized how powerful timing can be when explained properly. Astrology added context to numerology. Numbers show patterns. Astrology shows cycles. Together, they explain why something happens now and not later.
Q: Chi-nese.com is no longer a one-person project. How did working with others change things?
Denisa: It made the site stronger. I work with astrologers and writers who have their own voices and backgrounds. I never wanted everyone to sound the same. Diversity of perspective keeps the content alive.
Q: How do you see Chi-nese.com today?
Denisa: As something that grew with me. My life changed, my name changed, my priorities changed. The site reflects that evolution. It is not a frozen project. It moves, just like I do.
Q: What keeps you going after all these years?
Denisa: Curiosity. Patterns never stop. People never stop asking meaningful questions. As long as that continues, I will continue too. And hopefully, next time we talk, it will already be spring.
In the next interview, we will speak with Maria Pavlova, a Ukrainian singer who survived a near-death experience. Stay tuned!
