What are pseudotyped reporter viruses?Pseudotyped reporter viruses are replication-incompetent pseudovirus particles that display virus-specific envelope proteins on a heterologous virus core and carry a modified genome that expresses a convenient optical reporter gene (GFP, RFP or luciferase). They contain a modified genome and so are replication-incompetent and safe to use under standard safety levels (BSL-2).
