Description:

Somatostatin [SST, GHIH (growth hormone-inhibiting hormone) or SRIF (somatotropin release-inhibiting factor)] is a cyclic peptide with broad inhibitory effects on endocrine secretions such as the production of GH, glucagon, and insulin. SRIF-14 and SRIF-28 have similar biological activities but differ in their potency.
